' Field And Track Meet j The Wasatch Academy track team captured their second meet In four days by winning a triangular meet held on Academy Field Tuesday afternoon. The present Shite champions scored in every event and amassed a total score , of 91 points. North Sanpete finished with 21; and Moroni, 1. Two relays were not run as North Sanpete and Moroni had no teams. Weather conditions con-ditions hampered records, but Noble's discus throw of 115 feet 10 Inches, and Campbell's heave of 42 feet 4 inches m the shot were both creditable performances, perfor-mances, although falling short of their records made in the County meet last week when Noble threw the discus 125 feet and Campbell put the shot 44 feet 5 inches. Noble .showed up well for the tigers with one first and four second places. Josephson also did some good work by winning both short sprints and the broad Jump. Wasatch qualified 17 men for the Divisional meet to be held at Richfield May 4. Manti qualified 4; and Nortn Sanpete, 3. The academy team will participate in the Provo Relays this week. Noble will enter the all-around event and should make a creditable showing. |
