There wil be a rodeo ' ea'.h. when 45 head of wild horses and a bunch of wild steers will be 1 brought in. A public meeting, ' with a pp. py p.ogiam will be held ' Thursday and Saturday in the ' North ward chapel. The big rodeo ro-deo wil be staged Friday. August 22nd. A band concert will be given giv-en each day at the park. Other : features will be a carnival, baseball games, horse racing, games and sports at the park each day, and a dance each evening. Mr. and Mrs. Urban Bench announce an-nounce the arrival of a baby boy. Mrs. Bench was formerly Miss Wil-ma Wil-ma Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Mower ol Oakville anounce the arrival of a baby boy. Mrs. Stena Hansen announces the engagement of her granddaughter grand-daughter Phyllis Reynolds to Fern Truscott, son of Mr. and- Mrs. Charles Truscott of Mt. Pleasant. The marriage will take place in Manti early in September. They will make their home at Mount Pleasant. Honoring Miss Phyllis Reynolds, a bride of September, Miss Clara Vance entertained at a miscellaneous miscellan-eous shower, Tuesday evening at her home. Twenty-four guests enjoyed en-joyed games, lun .neon ana music. While working a grader on the canyon road east of Fairview, Lester Les-ter Turpin was painfully hurt Wednesday afternoon. A singletree single-tree broke, causing the horses to run, and as Mr. Turpin had the lines fastened around his body, he was dragged quite a distance. His collar bone was fractured, his shoulder shoul-der hurt and several ribs broken. Dr. S. B. Rigby -attended him. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Tanner and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Tanner ire spending the week at the Black-hawk Black-hawk celebration. |
