Show COMMISSIONERS IN SESSIONAT HAHT1 The regular meeting of the County Commissioners was held Tuesday, Mar-6th. Mar-6th. at the County Court House, Manti at 10 A. M. Commissioners E. Cook, John Gunderson Gun-derson and Junis Metcalf were present together with the County Clerk Ernald J. Mortensen. 1 Civic Committees from all over the county met with the Commissioners and conferred with them relative to the County exhibit to be made at the State Capitol. The commissioners were pleased to see the interest manifest man-ifest in agriculture in the various communities com-munities of the county. A lengthy discussion dis-cussion on the financial part of the exhibit took place and the Commissioners Com-missioners finally decided to build the case for the exhibit which will cost approximately $1,000.00. The civic committees agreed to take the responsibility of gathering the bast exhibits to be displayed in the case which will cost a considerable amount of money. Each community is expected expect-ed to stand part of the expense. The Commissioners leave Monday for Salt Lake to let the " contract for building the case. Sanpete County has many choice products with which to fill the case. The Commissioners are to be commended commen-ded for their interest in this very splendid undertaking. It will do much to advertise this county at the State Capitol. Our commissioners com-missioners are wide awake and alert to fapproptunities which are presented to them. Among the committeemen from Mt. Pleasant were A. F. Reynolds of the local farm bureau and Supt. A. E. Jones and John T. Cliff, representing the Lions Club. Ephraim Lions and the Gunnison Lions were represented. |
