Pleasant Pioneer Historical Association, honor-in? honor-in? the sixth ninth anniversary or the settlement of this city. In the absence of President James Lai'sen, vice president Joseph Monsen was in charge. The address of the day was delivered deliver-ed by C. W. Sorensen. "This is the Place", portraying the wonderlands of Utah. A unique feature of the program was the historical sketch "Problems of Past. City Administrations, "by Prest. Daniel Rasmussen. This sketch began with the first officers of the town with W. S. Seely as Mayor, when fences, as recorded in the city's proceedings were the important item of concern. It was interesting to note that at that remote time a fine of $50 was to be imposed for fast driving in the city. - Consideration of appreciation for the building of a "Lock up" and Council : chamber dated back to the early 60's Water problems were vital then as now as were floods and flood control. .
