Show Pioneers Gather at Thoir Annual Party Former county attorney A. W. Jensen of Ephraim delivered an interesting in-teresting and spirited address to a very large audience at the 21st annual an-nual celebration of the Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant Pioneer Historical Association, Friday afternoon at the North ward chapel. Other interesting features of the program were, a paper, 'Early-day pastimes and activities," Mrs. Obed Nelson; reading of the minutes of last year's celebration; mandolin music, Irvin Stansfield; vocal solo, Niel Hafen; mixed quartet, Pearl Poulsen, Myra B. Peterson, Ray Beck and Earl Chrtstensen; reading, read-ing, "Buckskin Breeches," Mrs. W. S. Seely of Emery County; short talks. Senator W. D. Candland and N. S. Nellson. Election of officers resulted in the re-election of those, who have for a number of years held the dos-as dos-as follows : president, James Lar-sen; Lar-sen; vice president,, Joseph Mon-j sen; secretary, Mrs. S. D. Longs-dorf; Longs-dorf; treasurer, James Monsen; assistant as-sistant secretary, O. M. Aldrlch; directors, E. C. Johnson, Joseph Seely, Mrs. W. H. Ericksen, Mrs. Miranda Oman, Mrs. Thomas West, Ole Hansen, L. C. Rasmus-sen, Rasmus-sen, C. T. Madsen, Mrs. Willard Frandsen, R. W. Candland, V. H. Gunderson, Elmer Jensen, F. J. Neilson, J Fred Staker, EUa T. Candland. ' Refreshments were served at the Library following the program, to the honor guests. Dancing at the Armory Hall, concluded con-cluded a pleasant days celebration. The officers of the organization wish to express their entire satisfaction satis-faction and sincere appreciation to all, who in any way, assisted in making the day the fine success it was, not only those who appeared rfh the program, but also hte committees com-mittees who were decidedly "on the Job." |
