Show Parent-Teachers Meeting Is Held The parent-Teachers meeting was held January 24th, 1929 in the Junior High School Building at Fountain Green. President Lilian Ivory presided. Song P. T. A. state song, led by Mr. R. F. Millett. Prayer principal Jos. R. Christiansen. Christian-sen. Remarks Mrs. Ivory, including (a) Mrs. Lyda Guymon sustained as publicity pub-licity chairman to take care of Scrap Book. To be exhibited in Salt Lake City. (b) February is birthday month of the P. T. A. Thus a program has been planned. Mr. Millett, Mr. Mayer and Mr. Anderson have been selected as the committee to take care of this. Reading Jesse Hansen, 4th grade. Song "Heart of Youth," Moroni High School chorus, conducted by Mr. Ray Anderson. Mr. Irvin Oldroyd asked parents to send fees for iodine tablets and also read a petition asking for the state to provide a state school for the feebleminded. feeble-minded. Class song Moroni High School Chorus led by Mr. Ray Anderson. Address Principal Stucki of the Moroni High School. Mr. Stucki talked talk-ed concerning the project, "Library Building". He also read an article from the Century Magazine entitled, "Job or Jurorist" referring to the parent's par-ent's job. Mr. Stucki summed up his address by saying that the business of the parents par-ents and teachers are so closely related that whatsoever each does, both should cooperate. Where parents and teachers teach-ers are more closely connected in their work, many misunderstandings among parents, teachers and students are done away with. Refreshments were served and the remainder of the evening was spent in games conducted by Miss Iona Seely and Miss Nadine Haverstic. |
