Show I I FAIRVIEW By Special Corespondence I The two Fairview wards of the M. I. A. joined in their annual Green and Gold Ball at the Amusement hall Friday, January 25th. The Green and Gold Waltz and the Green and Gold Cotillion were demonstrated by a number of couples. Prizes were given and refreshments were served. Amasa Rasmussen, E. A. Madsen, A. U. Miner, Hyrum Mower, Mrs. Heber Mower and Mrs. H. M. Rasmussen Ras-mussen attended the State Farm Bureau Convention and Leadership Week held at Provo last week. Mrs. Mary Larsen is visiting relatives rela-tives at Salt Lake and Union. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Briggs and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nordstrom visited vis-ited relatives at Salt Lake City the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Evans announce an-nounce the birth of a baby boy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tucker. Mrs. Evans was formerly Miss Emma Tucker. Mr. Wasatch Pritchett, 61, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Archie Christensen, January 18th in Salt Lake City from influenza. Wasatch Pritche tt was born in Fair-view, Fair-view, December 21, 1868, the son of John A. and Mary Pritchett. He married Mrs. Ella J. Brady, 41 years ago. Mrs. Pritchett died several years ngo. Two daughters, two sons and fourteen grandchildren survive: Mrs. Archie Christensen, Salt Lake; Ernest Pritchott, Pocatello; Leon Pritchett. Long Beach, California; Mrs. Bernard Christensen, Mohrland; also two stepdaughters, Mrs. Peter Sundwall of Fairview and Mrs. Vena Steele of Mesa, Arizona; two brothers, C. L. Pritchett and John Pritchett of Salt Lnke; and one sister, Mrs. India Peterson Pet-erson of Fairview. Funeral services for Wasatch Pritchett Prit-chett were held in the Fairview North Ward Chapel Sunday, January 20th. Bishop Henry Jones presided. Music Mu-sic was by the combined choirs, with special music by Mrs. Lewis Peterson, Floyd Young, Stanley Brady and Jesse L. Young. Speakers who paid tributes of love and honor to his memory were Albert Lassen and Bishop Thomas Chatwin of Mammoth, Jesse L. Young and Bishop Henry Jones. Prayers were by Peter Sundwall and A. L. Carlston. Interment was in Fairview cemetery where Bishop Jones dedicated , the grave. Mr. Pritchett has reared an excellent excel-lent family and leaves hosts of friends wherever he was known. Mrs. Jessie Clark has been selected as a class teacher in the literary department depart-ment and Mrs. Selma Anderson as a class teacher in the social service of the South Ward Relief Society. The following were selected as head teachers in the different districts: Mrs. Nancy Miner, Mrs. Marie Norman, Mrs. Florence Flor-ence Jensen and Mrs. Louisa Cox. Mis. Caleb Hartley was selected as a visiting visit-ing teacher. They were sustained at the regular meeting Tuesday. |
