Show AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE STORING AND KEEPING OF GASOLINE, GAS-OLINE, ETC. IN EXCESS OF 200 GALLONS. Be it ordained by the City Council of Mt. Pleasant City, Utah, in special meeting assembled: 1 Permit to store in excess of 200 gallons. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to keep or I store within the limits of this city any benzine, naptha, coal oil, lubricating oil, Danforth fluid, gas or gasoline in excess of 200 gallons or to erect or maintain houses, cellars, tanks or other containers for said purpose, without j first receiving a permit therefor from ' the city council.. j 2 Application for Permit. ApplicE;-' ApplicE;-' tion for such a permit shall be made !in writing to the said council. It shall i describe the premises sought to be used j for the above described purpose or purposes, pur-poses, and specify the size, capacity, ' construction, proposed content of the j tanks, houses or cellars and the loca- tion of aU adjacent buildings thereto, j 3 Notice of Application. Said ap-plication ap-plication shall be set and noticed for a j hearing by posting notice of the time land place of said hearing in three inublic places within this city for a pev'.rd of at least 5 days prior thereto. If a'; the hearing or prior thereto a mr. levity of the property owners within r. "rectus of 500 feet of the property sought to be used for purposes men- tioned in the said application shall pro- : test, in writing the granting of such a permit, no permit shall be granted: otherw-ise the permit shall be granted under such reasonable rules and conditions con-ditions as the council may impose or ;from time to time adopt. 4 Penalty: A violation of the provisions pro-visions hereof shall be a misdemeanor and subject to the penalties provided 'bv law therefor. ' 5 In the opinion of the city council it is necessary for the peace, safety and j general welfare of the city of Mt. 'pleasant, Utah that this ordinance take 'immediate effect.
