Show Winners Declared In the M. I. A. Stake Contest Following are the winners in the North Sanpete Stake M. I. A. try-outs try-outs held here Saturday under direction di-rection of Stake superintendent J. Seymour Jensen and Stake president Tina E. Nelson; double mixed quartet, quar-tet, Fairview North ward; ladie3 chorus, Mt. Pleasant North Ward; Junior retold story, Miss Mary Peel, "Queen Esther," Mt. Pleasant North ward; Public speaking M. Men and Gleaners, subject, the 1929 slogan, "We stand for the Preservation of our Heritage, trough the Obedience to Law," Moyle Mills and Miss Ruth Jorgenson, both of Mt. Pleasant North ward: Beehive retold story, Beth Johansen, "An Indian Legend," Leg-end," Mt. Pleasant South ward: drama. Fairview North ward, "Conversion;" "Con-version;" Beehive dutch dance, Mt. Pleasant North ward. In the contests of the Gold and Green Caprice no decision was :cndered as the judges failed to put in an appearance. The plan A the Stake board is to have this repeated and judged by people from the B. Y. U. who will be here Saturday, May 10, for the district ocntests, prior to those events. Announcement is made that the 'Hstrict contest to be held here May 10, will feature contests in all tht above mentioned events, North Sanpete, San-pete, South Sanpete, Gunnison and Moroni Stakes participating.
