Show l KIP Daddy's wS0$ Eveiir Fairy Tale yjAmf GRAHAM BONNER MAGIC WATER The dewdrops glistened and seemed to sparkle with joy. They laughed and they talked and they said : "Breakfast is all ready." "Oh," said Fairy Princess Joy, "you should have heard the fairies answer when I asked them if they wanted to come to a break fast party given by the dewdrops." All of the dew-drops dew-drops smiled. Then they looked up at Mr. Sun and said : The Fairies Drank "Flease' Mr' Sun' let us have time a little while longer, won't you?" "I certainly will," said Mr. Sun, as he beamed and smiled. "When the fairies awoke this morning," morn-ing," said Fairy Princess Joy, "they were singing this song: " 'Let us wake up and play, It Jvill be a nice day.' "Then I told them they must hurry to .the breakfast party give'u by the dewdrops and they are all coming and so happy about it, oh, so happy." The dewdrops loved hearing this, and now, along came the fairies. "We're so glad to see you," the dew-drops dew-drops said, and then they added : "Now drink of our magic water." "Dance over the grass, the bushes, the early autumn flowers, and we will sparkle like little diamonds while our own baud will sing and play." And as the dewdrops said this tine robins appeared from everywhere and hopping about on the lawn sang a glorious song about sunshine mid dew-drops, dew-drops, the early morning and the fairies. And the fairies drank of the magic dewdrop water before Mr. Sun had to drive them all away for the real work of the day, and as the fairies drank it they said : "Ah, this water gives us long life and makes us happy and makes us try to help others to be happy and glad, too." And the dewdrops smiled, for their party had been a great success. Then the dewdrops let Mr. Sun drive them away so he could start his work. He had a great deal to do. He had several people to cure of bad colds. They sat out in the warm sunshine, sun-shine, and felt so much better. He had some plants to bring out into blossom, he had some parties to look after that had especially wanted sunshine. He had an Engagement En-gagement to do a sparkling dance on the lake and he had promised the water fairies he would be sure to 13 w 'vVifo-Trtas. come. n the Warm He had a whole Sunshine, busy day ahead of him and so the dewdrops went away when he told them to go, but they were happy indeed that they had had such a lovely party and that every one had liked it and had liked them, and all the others enjoyed the party, too. A dewdrop party is such a lovely afiair. |
