Show " ; i FOUNTAIN GREEN I By Special Correspondence Funeral services were held Saturday Sat-urday afternoon at the ward chapel cha-pel for Wallace Green, age 44, who was killed in an automobile accident acci-dent on Wednesday, May 28th, near Castle Gate. The ward choir furnished the following songs, "I Need Thee Every Hour," "In the Upper Garden," "No Night There" and "Beyond." The opening open-ing prayer was offered . by Jos. R. Christiansen and the closing prayer pray-er by Prea James L. Neilson. The speakers were H. P. Olson, John E. Aagaid of Provo and N E. Mikkel-sen. Mikkel-sen. The flowers were beautifiu and in great profusion. He is survived by his wife and five small children: Reah, 12; Du-ane Du-ane Wallace, 9; Marion, 7; Haze, 4; -and Kenneth, 2. Also the following fol-lowing brothers and sisters: G. W., R. E., and Wilford Green of Fountain Foun-tain Green, Frank Green of Provo, Pro-vo, Mrs. Ed. Bailey and Mrs. Wallace Wal-lace Hcldaway of Salt Lake City. Among the out-of-town people who came to attend the services were: Mrs. Alice Huff and daughter, daugh-ter, Will and Harvey Huff, all of Spanish Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Charley Char-ley Green and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Green, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boardman, Mr. and Mrs. N W. Smith, Mrs. S. E. Bailey, all of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bailey and sons, Mrs. Henry Goff, all of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Hug-gins, Hug-gins, Mi-, and Mrs. I. A. Huggins and family, Mr. and Mrs. Oaklev Huggins, all of Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Huggins, Mr. Jack Huggins Hug-gins of Riverton; Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Mrs. Mercel Ivory left for Salt Lake City last week, where she will leave soon for a visit to Boston, Massachusetts, with her son James Leonard and family. On her return re-turn trip she will De accompanied by Miss Geniel Livingston, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. F. Livin-s-ton of Salt Lake City, who willbe releaseds hortQy from her labors as an L. D. S. missionary in the Eastern States Mission. The following Fountain Green pscpio attended funeral services at Salt Lake City for Miss Evelyn Jorgensen, age 22, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jorgensen: Mr. and Mrs. K. P. Jensen, Mrs. Hy-rum Hy-rum Jacobsen and Newell Jacob-son, Jacob-son, Clara Christensen, Mary A. Mikkelsen and Mrs. Frank Maylett of Manti. Mr. Jorgensen is the ion of Mrs. K. P Jensen. The following attended the 8th1 anunal Lions Convention of District Dis-trict 28 which was held at American Amer-ican Fork on Wednesday May 28: President and Mrs. Ray Holman, Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Nielson. Os-1 mond Crowther, i,ewis Sorenson, Jr'can Madsen, Ivan Rasmussen, J. J. Oldroyd and wife, L. R. Ivory and wife, Lyda Guymon, O. L. Seely and wife, E. M. Ivory and wife, J. R. Christiansen and wife, Oeo, O. Jackson and wife, Matthias Matth-ias Allred and wife, Hyrum Jacob-son Jacob-son and wife and Jess Hansen and wife. The Sanpete Lions band was present and they were certainly certain-ly a credit to any Lions club as well as to cur county. They are to l:e commented on for their splendid music and also the very striking ippeavance of their uniforms as chey marched in the parade. Every Ev-ery one in attendance expressed he feeling of hospitality and good .vill which was made manifest throughout the day and night by che people of American Fork. Othello Lund who was so serl- usly hurt in the car accident last Wednesday when Wallace Green c.as killed, is reported to be improving. im-proving. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Allred have moved to Mt. Pleasant to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Don eNilson have moved to our city from Moroni. We are always glad to welcome new citizens to our community. Members of the Social Hour club met at the home of Mrs. Maggie Frandsen this week and spent the afternoon in chatting and making flowers. A delicious hot dinner was served at five o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Seager motored mo-tored to Provo Tuesday where they attnded the B. Y. U. Alumni Banquet. Ban-quet. Word was received Wednesday by Mrs. Carl Anderson of the serious ser-ious condition of her granddaughter granddaugh-ter of Denver, Colorado who was injured when a large truck backed against her. She is at the St. Joseph's hospital in that city, where the doctors found it necessary neces-sary to place her in a cast. Although Friday was cold and windy, Decoration Day found a large number of people at the City cemetery all day. Many relatives rel-atives and friends from near and far came to decorate the graves and renew old acquaintances, which made it a general home coming event as well. |
