A very pleasant pleas-ant afternoon was spent by all present. pres-ent. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Gee announce an-nounce the marriage of their daugn-ter daugn-ter Winona to Mr. J. R. Goodman of Lehi, Utah on April 21st. A shower in their honor was given Tuesday evening. Refreshments were served and the evening spent in playing games. The newlyweds received many useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Lauritz Madsen announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughters Sarah to George Bristol of Mt. Pleasant and Edith to Grant Ericksen of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. and Mrs. Bristol will make their home at Layton. Utah and Mr. and Mrs. Ericksen will make theh home at Bountiful. The store formerly owned l;y Will Johnson and sen has been purchased by Mrs. Leora Sorenson of Ephraim. Her brother Reid Larsen is assisting her in running it. Mrs. Niels Hansen accompanied by relatives left Sunday for the L. D. S. Hospital where she was operated op-erated on Monday for toxic goitre. Due to her age much concern was felt in connection with the outcome, but she is reported to be getting along nicely and it is hoped that she will son be able to return to her home, enjoying good health again. Mrs. Virgil Jacobsen returned from the L. D. S. Hospital this week. She is rapidly improving. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crawford of Bingham, Utah spent the weekend week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Augason. Easter Sunday was a most beautiful beau-tiful day and consequently very few people could be found in our city during the day. Trips were piannede and crowds could be seen going In almost every direction, to participate In the eating of Easter Eas-ter lunches as well as to welcome the lovely Springtime. Mrs. E. J. Johnson has returned home after spending a few days in Provo visiting with relatives and friends. The Elite Club members met Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Ray Holman, the occasion being be-ing Mrs. Holman's birthday. A delicious luncheon was served and a most enjoyable afternoon was spent. An excellent program sponsored by the local Primary Association was given Friday evening in the ward amusement hall, where many of the Primary children participated There was an unusually large turnout turn-out of parents. Sheldon "Simonsen, age 21, who has been critically ill for a long time, passed away April 22nd, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Melvin Johnson. Funeral arrangements have not, as yet, been made. |
