Show Cudahy Praises Jack Seely's Feeding Ability The following letter from The Cudahy Packing Company of Chicago Chi-cago has just been received by Jack Seely of Mount Pleasant and given to The Pyramid for publication: THE CUDAHY PACKING CO. Ill West Monroe Street Chicago Office of the President February 4, 1932. Master Jack Seely, Mt. Pleasant, Utah. Dear Jack: I was very happy to learn recently re-cently that your steer had been declared reserve champion and champion of the Future Farmers division at the Ogden Live Stock shew, and that you had been awarded the Cudahy trophy offered offer-ed for this event. We greatly admired the picture of your steer which our Mr. Neil-sen Neil-sen of North Salt Lake was kind enough to send us. We wish to congratulate you on the splendid appearance of this animal and your success as its exhibitor. We trust that now that you have entered en-tered the championship class, your future exhibits will be fully up to the standards you have established, es-tablished, and we extend our best wishes to yourself and your fellow Future Farmers for steady progress pro-gress in the production of better live stoCK. Cudahy Jr. "Jack Frost," champion Future Farmer steer and reserve champion cham-pion individual fat steer won over ov-er all at the recent Ogden Livestock Live-stock Show. "Jack Frost" was fitted and shown by John Seely, Mt. Pleasant, Utah, son of the late Earl H. Seely, and a member of the third generation of one of the most noted livestock families of the west. The steer brought fifty cents a pound, being purchased pur-chased by the Cudahy Packing Company for the Safeway stores William H. Nielson, manager of the Cudahy Packing Company of Salt Lake City, presented the steer owner with a beautiful trophy. |
