Show North Sanpete Boys Win At County Fair On the first day of the Sanpete San-pete County Fair, the high school boys responded as usual with their many exhibits and stock judging. Thursday morning was devoted entirely to stock Judging which resulted in the following: first, Moroni; second, North Sanpete. San-pete. The first two highest men were Udel and Kay of Moroni. The third man was Boyd Rasmussen Ras-mussen of North Sanpete. The Moroni boys made a clean sweep of beef prizes with their three splendid Aberdeen Angus baby beef being primed for the San Francisco show in November. The Future Farmers of Utah are sending a car load to compete with the best in the far western states.- In crops the boys responded as in the past but with even a better bet-ter class of product because of the favorable season. In Bliss potatoes po-tatoes Von Lund and Wortn Bench took prizes. With New York Rurals Ted Norman received first. Cleston Mower was awarded an easy first for a splendid display dis-play of silage corn, the seed of which came from Carbon County Experiment Farm. Cleston will furnish seed for your planting next spring. Boyd Rasmussen won second on oats. The Spring City boys made a splendid showing show-ing with their fast horses, taking-most taking-most of the big money. It looks mighty good to see it go to local boys instead of the gang from Tijuana. |
