Show I SPRING CITY I By Special Correspondence Sunday three sessions of the North Sanpete stake quarterly-conference quarterly-conference were held in the Spring City ward chapel with Apostle Golden Kimball and George Brim-hall Brim-hall from the Brigham Young university as ,the principal speakers speak-ers Sunday evening the Stake M. I. A. presented a pageant. All meetings were; well attended. The Aletha Club members were entertained oh Friday afternoon by Mrs. Von Justesen. The Relief Society held its annual an-nual Homecoming Tuesday in the ward chapel. Mrs. Rose L. Peterson Pe-terson presided. A good program was given with Mrs. Nellie Ny-berg Ny-berg in charge. A duet was given giv-en by Fern Jensen and Lola Wat-, son; reading, Pearl Davis; solo, Mrs. Rose R.' Schofield; reading, Charlotte Olsen; quartette, Levern Blain, Victoria Nielson, Flossie Blain and Margaret Justesen; jokes were read at the expense oi Clara and Stina Allred, Diantha Allred, Caroline Brcugh, Almina Peterson, Charlotte Schofield, Stina Sti-na Blain, Elizabeth Larsen, Trina Black, Margaret Osborne, Nora Schofield and Sarah E. Hyde; reading, Helena Bunnell; prayers were offered by Charlotte Scho-fild Scho-fild and Mary Jane Aiken. A good time was enjoyed by all. Mrs. Aninna Justesen is in town for a weeks visit with her children. chil-dren. Mrs. Justesen has made her home for the past few years with her daughter, Mrs. Eugene Faux of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jensen and Archie Barney are business visitors visi-tors to Delta this week. Miss Flora Larsen, daughter ol Mrs. L. O. Larsen, left Monday for Salt Lake where she has employment em-ployment Hardy Hansen, Rudolph Hope, Alton Blain, LeRoy Kelsey, Lute Zabriskie, Sheldon Allred have returned home for a visit from the Livestock Company where they have employment. Angus Rasmussen, George Cock . and Vernile Robinson have gone to Idaho. , Miss Florence Mower ' of Fair- ! view has been the guest of her friend, Miss Eleanor Larsen in this city. Mack Strate motored to Salt Lake City Friday accompanied by Dor. and Geneva Strate. Dor. will att.nd the University of Utan this1 yet.i. Miss Ida Blain and Mrs. Wallace Wal-lace Gieaves and children of Eureka r.re guests of their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. John S. Blain. Mrs. O-mer H. Beck entertained a number of small friends of her daughter Phyliis on September 24th, that day being the seventh birthday anniversary of Phyllis. Mrs. Laura Peterson has re turned from a visit to the Capitol City. . Two accidents happened this week to boys in this town. Littli Willard Puzey suffered a broken left arm in a fall from a swing in the yard of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Puzey. He was taken to Mt. Pleasant for medical medi-cal aid. Lewis Colman, son of Mr and Mrs. John H. Colman suffered a compound fracture of his leg Wednesday, while playing football at North Sanpete high school. Mrs. Sarah Allred has gone to the Uinvah Easir. for a visit with her children. Mr. and Mrs. Tenas Thompson are the proud parents of a baby bov born to them on September 26th. Mrs. Thompson was ioi-merly ioi-merly Miss Evelyn Maeser. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Black are prcud to announce the birth of a great grandson, the boy being born to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Gillman of Pleasant Grove on September 22nd. Mrs. Gillman will be remembered as Miss Carol Allred. Mrs Everett Larsen and children child-ren are visiting Mr. and Mrs Nephi Props at Midway. Mrs Larsen and Mrs. Props are sisters. |
