Show Stake Offices See Changes At Conference Priesthood activities were discussed dis-cussed at the North Sanpete stake quarterly conference, whicE began here Saturday evening. The speakers Saturday evening were James W. Blain of Spring City and S. M. Nielsen and H. C Jacobs of the stake presidency. The Sunday sessions were held in the Fairview North ward chapel. chap-el. The speakers at the morninft session were Bryant Jacobs for the deacons' ouorum: Blaine Sander son, teachers; Dean Peterson, priests; Seymcur Jensen seventies; Daniel Rasmussen, stake presidency. presiden-cy. ' Speakers Sunday afternoon Included: In-cluded: Golden Carlston of Fair-view, Fair-view, recently returned from the Scandinavian mission; James Andersen An-dersen of the stake high council, and John S. Blain, stake clerk. The following changes were announced: an-nounced: A. U. Miner and John L. Bench of Fairview of the stake high council were released and were succeeded by George F. Olson of Fairview and Seymour Jensen of Mt. Pleasant. Seymour Jensen, stake superintendent superin-tendent of the Y. M. M. I. A., was released and was succeeded by his first assistant, A. E. Darley. Osmond Os-mond Crowther and Joseph Ursen bach were selected as assistants to Mr. Darley. Aanor L. Cheney, president of the third quorum of elders at Fair-view; Fair-view; his counselors, Heber Mower Mow-er and Otis Nielsen, and Secretary Randall Turpin were released and were succeeded by Hilton Tucker, president; Frank Rigby and Albert Madsen, counselors, and Edwin Cox, secretary. Music for all sessions was fur. nisned by the stake choir. The Sunday evening session was under the auspices of the stake M. I. A. board. President M. H. Knudsen of Snow College was the principal speaker. During the day large groups visited the word of wisdom exhibit in the South ward chapel. Owing to the death of President Nibley. none of the general authorities auth-orities attended the confeiencc. |
