Show i " ! MORONI i By Special Correspondence Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Aman-da Draper were held Thursday afternoon in the West Ward chapel chap-el with Bishop Ephraim Nelson conducting. The choir sang "Though Deepening Deep-ening Trials." "Abide With Me" and "Rest, Rest For The Weary Soul." Prayers were offered by Soren C. Nielsen and Jabes Faux. The speakers were Vernile Jensen, Mrs. Eliza Bradley, Patriarch Orlando Or-lando Bradley and Bishop Nelson of Moroni and Mathias Allred of Fountain Green of the Moroni Stake Presidency. Solo, "Face To Face" was sung by Mrs. Lawrence Larsen accompanied by Mrs. Floyde Speri-y. Mrs. Ernest Anderson An-derson sang "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," accompanied by Mrs. Ophelia Rhodes. Those who came from out of town to attend the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Oliver 'Draper and Mr. and Mrs. Art Simmons of Mt. Pleasant; Mr. and Mrs. Marie Boyack and Mrs. Fenton Boyack of Spanish Fork; Frank Draper and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Christensen Chris-tensen of Ephraim; Mrs. Andy Rasmussen of Chester; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jacobsen of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Vergal Jacobsun, Mathias Allred, Mrs. Niels Lund and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rasmussen Ras-mussen of Fountain Green; Mrs. Parley Anderson and daughters, Lola and Emma, of Ogden. Mrs. Thomas Jensen of Garfield Gar-field was visiting relatives in Moroni Mo-roni last week end. Ellis Draper has returned home from North Dakota where he has been employed by the government-Mrs. government-Mrs. Josiah Blackham Jr. was called to Salt Lake City last week on account of the illness of her mother. Mr! and Mrs. Hyrum Erickson and family have gone to California. Califor-nia. They will spend Christmas at San Diego. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Blackham Jr. announce the marriage of their daughter, LaPriel and Clyde Burnside of Mount Pleasant. They were married in the Manti Temple Wednesday, December 16. The East Ward Sunday School Christmas committee sponsored a children's dance Monday evening. Little Vlda Thacker, the fifteen months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Thacker passed away at their home last Thursday morning. mor-ning. Death was caused from infection in-fection of chicken pox. Besides her parents she is survived sur-vived by the following brothers and sisters: Ralph, Zina and Dona Thacker all of Moroni. Funeral services were held Saturday morning morn-ing in the West Ward chapel after af-ter which the body was taken to Heber City for burial. Sherrid Blackham has returned home from Buhl, Idaho where he has been employed for the past year and a half Mrs. Frank Bruno entertained the Bridge Club Friday at her home. Those present were: Sadie Little, Sarah Kellet, Vivian Anderson, Ander-son, Gwen Blackham, Camille Ol-sen. Ol-sen. Eva Barett, Matclda Aebes-cher, Aebes-cher, Mrs. John Anderson, Mrs Virginia Ingram, Mrs. Jeston Nelson, Nel-son, Mrs Frank Christensen, Mrs Dan Phillippi, Mrs. Urvin Morley, Mrs. Leonard Anderson and Miss Margaret Brcadbent. Four tables of bridge were played play-ed and Mrs. John Anderson won high score and Miss Sadie Little won the consolation prize. Mrs. Ben Bingham and Mrs. Dell Tom-linson Tom-linson of Ogden were special guests. |
