Show Pretty Wedding at Jacobs Home Charming in detail was the wedding wed-ding reception held Friday evening, February 28, 1930 at the home ot ;,ho bride's parents in Mount Pleasant, Pleas-ant, in honor of the marriage of Miss Dorothy Jacobs, attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Chariton Jacobs and Robert Dell Buchanan, son of Mr., and Mrs. W.. W. Buchanan of Richfield. The marriage was performed in the Manti Temple r-riaay at high toon, followed by a wedding breakfast break-fast given by the bride's grandparents, grand-parents, Mr.' and Mrs. James Larsen. Lar-sen. ' The bride wore a gown of eggshell satin, with a French cap of rhine-Ttones, rhine-Ttones, pearls and orangeblossoms holding in place the tulle veil. She-carried She-carried a bridal bequet of roses and lilies of the valley. The bride' was attended by Mrs. VV. C. Olson, as matron of homr, and Helen Carsen of Mt. Pleasant, Margaret Swensen of Provo and Nial Nelson of rticlitii'ld, as bridesmaids. brides-maids. The bridesmaids wore gowns cf pastel shades and carried boquets of roses and sweetpeast. The bridal party was assisted in roceiving by Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Jacobs, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Buchanan Bu-chanan and Mr. and Mrs. James Larsen. Golden Christensen of Richfield was best man. The dining room was in charge of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Anderson assisted as-sisted by Oleah Wall of Salt Lake, Lila E. Beebe and Helena Stewart of Pl'OVO. The serving table was coveied with a lace cloth with silver candle sticks holding pink candles at each end. The centerpiece was a silver bowl of brides roses and pink sweet-peas. sweet-peas. The gift room was in charge of Mrs. Rowly Stewart of Provo. Two hundred guests called. A program of music was furnished by Mrs. Thomas W. Jensen, Harold W. Fildey and Catherine Jacobsen. After a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan will be at home in Richfield, Utah. Miss Jacobs has been the recipient of a number of social affairs both here and in Richfield. Mrs. A. W. Anderson entertained at a shower in Mt. Pleasant. Miss Nial Nelson entertained at an elaborate party at her home in Richfield. Eight couples were present. pres-ent. She was an honor guest of the cottage club at the home of Mrs. W. W. Buchanan. Mrs. Buchanan also entertained fifty guests at a shower for Miss Jacobs. Mrs. Lu Hoed also cf Richfield entertained in her honor and the Pavant Club, of which she is the: sponsor, entertained for her at the home of J. M. Peterson. j |
