Show EARLY PIONEER PASSES AWAY Alma White Sr., 84, early settler and a Black Hawk Indian war veteran, died at his home Friday morning, after a lingering illness. Mr. White was born in Scott, Ohio, June 13, 1847. His parents, William and Mary McCabe White, came to Tooele in 1851 and later moved to Mt. Pleasant, which has been Mr. White's home since the late '60s. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rose Wichm White; four sons and three daughters: Rose White. California; Dudley White, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Leona W. Halberg, Salt Lake; Alma, Joseph Roy and Daisy White, Mt. Pleasant; Pleas-ant; 26 grandchildren. ! Funeral services will be held in the South ward chapel at 1 p. m. j Monday. |
