Show I MORONI J i By Special Correspondence Mrs. P. W. Benton of Los Angeles, Ang-eles, California, was the guest of her brother, Dan Philippi last week. Mrs. James Hardy was a Provo visitor Wednesday of last week. A large group of people from Moroni attended the Stake party held in Fountain Green Friday night of last week. The party was in honor of the retiring Stakii presidency. ' Mrs. Frank Bruno is visiting with her parents in Provo this week. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Nielson are the proud parents of a baby girl born at the Dice hospital Sunday October 11th Sunday at 11.30 in the East ward chapel a special sacrament meeting was held to sustain the new Bishopric. A song service was given by the choir with the following program under the direction di-rection of James Hardy, president of the choir, Mi's. P. J. Draper, chorister and Mrs. Blaine Draper' organist. Bishop John R. Black-ham Black-ham presided. Opening song,- "Glory and Honor." Hon-or." Opening prayer Erastus Curtis Singing, "-The Harvest Time Is Passing By" with Mrs. Elmo Irons and Mrs. Dan Philippi as soloists "I Can See Thee, O My Savior'' was tho Sacrament song. Quartette, "Life's Golden Dream Is O'er," Ralph, Howard and Paul Blackham and Gerald Bradley. Talks were given by the new Stake Presidency. Singing, "The Sinner and the Song" with Mrs. Marvin Anderson as soloist. Stake President Joseph R. Chris tiansen took charge in sustaining the new Bihopric, John R. Blackham, Black-ham, Bishop, Morgan Lamb and Ezra Nielsen, counselors, and Leonard Anderson, ward clerk. Short talks were given by the new Bishop, councilors and clerk. Miss Vivian Anderson played ' an organ solo, "The world Is Wait- ', ing for the Sunrise." Vocal duet, "O Promise Me," by ' the Misses Gwen Blackham and ! Saddle Little. Frayer Daniel Anderson. ' 26 per cent of the East ward ' was in attendance. . Mr. and Mrs. Lee Park of Sai.r Lake City have returned home after visiting with Mrs. William ' Prestwich for the past two weeks. ', The teachers of the high school ' and the Lincoln school are at- ! tending the U. E. A. convention at Salt Lake City this week. ' Mr. and Mrs. Winnword Tan- 3 ner of Salt Lake City were guests last Monday of Mrs. Tanner's 3 niolher, Mrs Anna Blackham. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Goates of ' McGill. Nevada and Mr. and Mrs. !
