Show The Twentieth Century Club met! Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. C. W. Sorensen, at which time the frPowing program was presented Sketch of Susan Gaspel by Mrs. George Madsen; reading one act plav "Suppressed Desires" Susan Gaspel by Mjts. Guy Candland; parliamentary parliamen-tary drill conducted by Mrs. M. A. Winters; talk "Voice Culture" by Mrs. StanWV H. GUI; vocal solos, Mrs. George D. Hughes and Miss Wilma Hafen. i Mrs. George Madsen, Mrs. R. W. Candland Mrs. H. C. Jacobs and Mrs. .fames Larsen were elected delegates to attend the annual meetings of the Utah Federation of Women's Clubs to meet in Salt Lake October 18 and 19 and 20. Luncheon was served for twenty five guests. The past week has been observed, in all the schools of the city as "Fire Prevention Week" and special programs pro-grams "re drills and lectures have been given. At the Hamilton School the closing feature of the week was a play 'The Trial of Fire" presented ed bv twelve pupils of the fifth grade directed by Miss Elith Al ditch and Miss Jessie Mad.se'm. A real fire drill was also held Friday and te city fire department, under acting chdef William Hansen, make a quick run to the school build-nig build-nig a'nd every phase of fire preven tion was discussed in connection the fiire drill. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Larsen and Mrs Burt Wright have gone to St. Anthony, Idaho to attend the funeral services of their nephew.
