Show Faculty members of Wasatch Ac-tulemy Ac-tulemy entertained at the annual athletic banquet in the academy dining din-ing hall Saturday evening. Forty two lette,r men who had won awards, in foot ball 'basket ball, base bail track 'and tennis were honor guests at the 'banquet, as well also the school I physician Dr. P. L. Holman and Mrs. Holman. ' Coach E. G. Brunger was toast j master and responses were made by i Kent Nielsen; foot -hall captain, Paul Ed man basket bull captain, Nathan.' Long, captain of the state championship champion-ship track team, Wendell Hanks, representing re-presenting the basketball team and Owen Owens, representing the ten-; uis team. Dr. Holman also made a ( short address. The following were elected captains capt-ains of next year's team: Football, Fred Robinson 29; basketball, Owen Owens, 29; Track La Mar Hill, 2S. Student body elections at Wasatch Academy bust Thursday resulted in the selection of the following new officers foir the 1927 and 28 school year: President, Fred Deschner 28; vice president. Ada Crane. 28; secre-1 secre-1 tary. Everett Campbell, 29; treasurer C. L. Paulsen; Editor of the Orange and Black, Donald Danwalder, 28; athleotic manager, Harvey Case. 28; faculty advisor. Miss Mary Applegate The various classes will name their 'representatives to the student council coun-cil at a later date. Pupils of the fourth fifth, and sixth grades of the Hamilton school together with Principal J. F. Mower and their teachers, the Misses Edith Aldrich. Estella Brand, Eloise Hansen, Han-sen, Jessie Madden. Faughn Poulsen, end Ethel Lund, celebrated the closing clos-ing of school with a hike and a wienie roast at. the Uouud Hills Thursday afternoon. |
