Coal Production Breaks Record Washington While bituminous coal production, stimulated in the United States by the British mine strike, has been running to high levels for weeks, the bureau of mines reported that all records had been shattered during the week ending November 20 when lt.-253,000 lt.-253,000 tons were produced. High as was the production then, preliminary returns for the first two days of last week indicate that the record is likely to be broken again.
