Show Mexico Takes Eight Planes Santa Monica With their exact destination des-tination shrouded in mystery, eight Douglns-built 0-2 type airplanes left Clover Held Wednesday a. m. for delivery de-livery to the Mexican government. They were expected to cross the international inter-national boundary Hue at an early hour. The shipment will be followed by an order for thirty-six others, either to be purchased from the Douglas Doug-las Aircraft company or other American Ameri-can plants, according to information here. The utmost secrecy prevailed during the building of the planes as to Ihe identity of the purchaser. This was explained in a semiofficial report to the effect that revolutionists across the border would employ every means to prevent the planes from entering Mexico if they learned of their existence. |
