Show Proper Manner of Addressing Mail Third Assistant Postmaster General, Washington, January 20, 1926. Because of carelessness in addressing address-ing matter for mailing and failure to place the address and return card thereon in the usual and proper manner, man-ner, postmasters are again requested ;c urge patrons to address their mail fully and correctly and place the address ad-dress and return card in the proper position on enevlopes or wrappers. It is not only necessary that the .,1ircs-. be complete and correct, at that it be arranged in the cus-nury cus-nury manner so as to facilitate he leading of the address when au.il ig the mail witli the rapidity etiuiic-d and to prevent improper .. eminent and delay. To this end the addressee's street address, box number, or the number of his rural rosMe should be placed undor his 1 nine and above the name of the post office and State, in the lower rr.ht po'-tion of the address side, :the sender's return card being placed ! in the upper left hand corner, as j ind ie-ait ed in the model form of art-dres-, return cand, etc., appearing below ; After 5 days return to J oil 11 O.
