Show All enthusiastic and successful convention con-vention of the Saiipete County Tax-i:.eis' Tax-i:.eis' association was held in the courtroom of the county courthouse in Maiui Saturday and nearly 300 tax payers were present from all parts ot the county. Two sessions wore held r.Pd (tinner was served at noon at the Center ward festival. County Chairman L. R. Anderson gave the address of welcome, which ;as followed by an address on the "Plan of Organization of the Utah Taxpayers Association: What the Vtah Taxpayers Association Has al-'vady al-'vady Accomplished, and Nevs.sity for an O.g.mized Tax Movement," by Fdwin Rutterworth, a represent at ivo of the Utah State Taxpayers' associa-t associa-t ion. Owing io the lack of interest on 'he pan of the taxpayers at bond elections, elec-tions, a resolution was atlopted by the convention that "The general tommiltee of the Utah Taxpayer! association call upon the next legislature legisla-ture in the interest of a law that will invalidate any bond election at which less than 50 per cent of the qualified electors cast their ballots."
