Show PldER HiSTOHlCAL ASSOCIATION CELEBRATES CELE-BRATES III DAY The sixty-sixth anniversary of the foi'.nciing of Mt. Pleasant was fittingly fitting-ly obstirved in a successful celebration celebra-tion last Friday under the auspices of Ithe Mt. Pleasant Pioneer Historical Association. A public meeting was held in the North ward chapel at two o'clock p. in., at which an uxceneut program including songs, readings and musical numbers was enjoyed. Addresses, ''paying a strong tribute to the early ipioneers, were made by Amasa Aid-rich Aid-rich and Dr. S. II. Allen of Salt Lake City, both of whom aire sons of Mt. Pleasant pioneers. A prognostication "ity Years Hence," written by Rev. A- V. Boand, was read by Mrs. F. J. Neilson. Pleasant 1859 pioneers. pio-neers. Siince last year seven of Mt. Pleasant's first settlers have died. In the evening a largely attended .dance was given in the Armory Hall. The .grand inarch at 10:30 was led by pn iticipants in costume representing the pioneers of '49. America Torlnv. Uncle Sam's Soldiers and Sailors, Colonial Styles, and peasant cosuiimes of all nationalities. Old time refreshments refresh-ments were served at the dance. The association elected the following follow-ing officers for the ensuing year: President, Bishop James Larsen; vice-president. Joseph Monsen; secretary, secre-tary, Mrs. S. D.
