Show Andrews Takes Helm Washington. Prohibition's revitalized revitali-zed army took the field September 1st under the baton of its marshal, Assistant Secretary Andrews, and with orders designating the bootleggers' bootleg-gers' capture as its main objective. Admitting that a few vulnerable spots exist in his attacking lines, Mr. Andrews An-drews is confident of utilmate success, suc-cess, and he intends to continue the fight "so long as it is possible for me to accomplish anything." The sudden passing of authority and responsibility responsibili-ty from Washington to the divisional administrators has found shortages of personnel at some points and at others oth-ers important posts are held by men who are' not expected to be retained permanently. But the area commanders comman-ders are picking their staffs and Mr. Andrews is hopeful of finding soon suitable men to fill the gaps among the leaders. |
