Show FAIR VIEW In connection with the Auxiliary Aux-iliary Group Convention to be held at Fairview this week end. A social and dance, under the direction of the Stake, M. I. A. recreational committee, will be given for the public. A preliminary pre-liminary program at the South ward chapel will include, quartette, quar-tette, by young mens glee club, Humorous readings, community communi-ty singing, and a one act play "Courtship Under Difficulties" Difficul-ties" will be given by Fairview South ward. Later they will go to the pavilion and dance a short time. Then have games and folk dancing for forty minutes. The remainder of the evening will be spent in dancing. Good music will be furnished. Mr. and Mrs. 0. Lavern Miner announce the arrival of a baby boy at their home September Sep-tember IS. Mrs. Miner was formerly Miss Larue Mower. The Sunday school of the Fairview South ward was reorganized re-organized last Sunday, Reese E. Bench having resigned as he is leaving Fairview to attend school at the B. Y. U. at Provo. Mr. Lionel Peterson was sustained sus-tained as Superintendent with Darius Sanders and Heber Mower as assistants and Miss Merle Hurst as Secretary. Mr. Stanley Cox of Fairyiew and Miss Alice Taylor of Provo were married in the Salt Lake Temple September 19. A reception re-ception was given in their honor Thursday evening at the home of the brides parents, Dr. and Mrs. F. W. Taylor at Provo. Pro-vo. Miss Taylor is a graduate gradu-ate of the B. Y. U. Poland Rigby came from Lynn junction and spent the week-end with Fairview relatives. rela-tives. He left Sunday for the B. Y. IT. where he will attend school. Miss Mildred Carlston went to Provo "Wednesday to attend the B. Y. U. Mrs. Bruce Cox and children left Sunday for Salt Lake where they expect to make their home the coming winter. Mr. and Mrs. Reese E. Bench moved to Provo this week. Mr. Bench will attend the B. Y. U. the coming winter. Miss Pearl Christensen and Miss Nelda Norman accompanied them and will also attend school. Misses Belva Cox and Verona Ver-ona Cox went to Provo to attend at-tend the wedding reception of their brother Stanley Cox. They will spend the week end with relatives and go on to Logan Lo-gan to enter the A. C. next week. |
