Show FUNERAL ID FOR PETERC. JEHSFN j Peter C. Jensen, Sr. age 9 0 years, died at his home on December 9th. of complcations incident to old age. Funeral services were held in iho Fairview North ward chapel Dec. 12th. Counselor George E. Stewart presided. Music was furnished by the combined choirs of Fairview wo'ids wnh a solo by Jesse L. Youns. "The Beautiful City." Stanley Brady and Jesse Young sang "'Hope- Beyond." Be-yond." Bishop Stewart of Miiburn, Bishop A. E. Mcintosh of Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant and S. S. Sanderson were the speakers. Tributes in high esteem of honor to his memory were paid to the departed brother. Ptrayers wiire offered by George A. Zabriskie and Maitland Graham. The funeral was well attended. Floral offerings were profuse. Peter C. Jensen was a son of Christian and Bolelta Jensen. He was born in Denmark in 1S33. He joined the church in 1853 and came to Utah in Capt. Olson's company in 1854. They .moved to Epliraim in 1858 and then to Jit. Pleasant in lSafi, and helped to build the fort there. Mr. Peterson look an aeiiw part in the Black Hawk war. In 1870 he moved to Fairview and in 1879 he moved to Miiburn. For several years he preside! over the ward. He married Mary Christensen Christen-sen in November, 1853. She had ihree children, Peter C. Jr., Mrs. John Graham and Alma Jensen. He married a second wife, Kirsten e.i.t:i: in January, 1SC5. Sh9 ha 1 ten children, all of whom are linnr Mr. Jensen's living children are. Alma Jensen, of Hayner, Idaho; Peter Jensen of Junction, James Jensen of Storrs, Mrs. George A. Zabriskie of Pleasant Girove, Mrs. Amos Kelsey and Frank Williams of Idaho, Hyrum Jensen of Ca3tle Dale, Mr3. Cecelia Mower, Mrs. Bjrou Vance, Joseph and Wilford Jensen of Miiburn. Mt also has a large number of grand tin! great grand children. Interment was in the Fairview cemetery where George A. Zabri3kia dedicated the igrave. |
