Show SPR1XG CITY. Mrs. L. B. Rasmussen and 'son, Gladstone, departed for Salt Lake City Monday where they expect to remain for several weeks. Owen Olsen of Chester departed for Indianola Monday. Mrs. Eugene Allred, who has been visiting with relatives in Utah county for several days, returned home Saturday. Sat-urday. Mrs. T. W. West of Chester visited with relatives and friends in Fairview Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Grismore of Salt Lake City spent the later part of the week in Spring City visiting with Mrs. Grisniore's mother, Mr3. Matilda Frandsen. MisB Louvee Nielson and Miss Eugene Eu-gene Baxter arrived home Saturday after several weeks spent working in a canning ractory in Weuer wmilj. Mrs. Leima Shalsbeiy ucj j.ca ur her, home in dalt Lake Juaay after spending the summer in opi-iug City. Miss Alta Justesen made a trip to Salt Lake City the later part ol last week. Andy Rasmussen and family and Blain Thompson of Chester are suffering suf-fering with the Spanish Influenza. No-public funeral was held tor -Mrs. Julia Halversou, who was laid away in the local cemetery Monday afternoon. after-noon. A few of the neighbors and friends called at the home to pay their last respects to the kind and loving mother. Funeral hymns were sung and short talks made by neign-borhood neign-borhood brethern in the open air at the family residence. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Livingston of Midvale have been Spring City visitors visit-ors this week. Vincent Billington departed for Salt Lake City Wednesday from where he expects to leave for the west desert. G. F. Cfawforth and James Craw-forth Craw-forth of Rupert, Idaho are Spring City visitor8 this week. Charley Crawfortli, one of Spring City's prominent citizens, passed away at his farm home south of town Sunday afternoon. Mr. Craw forth had been up in the mountains and contracted a cold which he did not regard re-gard as serious, but which is thought to have developed into pneumonia causing life to terminate very suddenly sudden-ly He was born in Provo and was sixty-eight years of age. His wife and several brothers and sisters survive sur-vive him. On account of the present quarentfne regulations, no public services ser-vices were held. A shot open a.r service was held at the time of interment, inter-ment, which took place Tuesday at-ternoon at-ternoon in the Spring City cemetery. |
