Show The Democratic primary was culled last Friday night at the Elite Hall and delegates- were appointed to attend at-tend the State convention. Those selected were C. W. Burquist, C. T. Drage, J. W. Anderson and Burke McArthur. Alternates were R. II. Hinckley, Dr. W. P. Winters, Hyrum Seely and Peter Frandsen. Last Friday evening the Republican Repub-lican Primary was held at the Mf. Pleasant Public Library and live delegates dele-gates were elected to attend the Slate convention. Those selected were W. D. Candland, Pres. A. Merz, .las. Monsen, John II. Seely and Bishop A. E. Mcintosh, all being a good strong representation of the parly, The past Ihi.rty-six hours there has been a continual down pour of rain which has been the greatest raia we have bad for several weeks. T. C. Candland stepped on a small stone last Friday morning while ever on the West side of Ihe valley and his right leg w:is broken near the ankle. Only one of tbf bones v as injured and Mr. Candland thinks it will soon heal up. Senator John 11. Seclv, one of the directors of the State Fair Association came home today after having spent a busy week at Salt Lake City. Mrs. Seely has not been in very good health recently. Mr. Seely as usual bail a fine lot of cattle and sheep at the Fair which took many prizes. Mr. Seely is widely known all over this commonwealth for bis fine cattle sheep and other animals. C. W. Huniuist, Judge ''hrislensen and Burke McArthur motored to Salt Lake City last Sunday to see Ihe State Fair and attend the Democratic State convention. |
