Show MORONI Mrs. Leo Morley entertained the Sorosis club Thursday afternoon. Ostin Gurrel of Randolf is the guest of Miss Gladys Stark. Miss Richie of Nephi is the guest of Miss Marie Olson. Miss Nida Hales of Richfield is visiting vis-iting friends and relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. John I. Morley have a fine baby girl. E. J. Curtis returned home from Wyoming Tuesday. Mrs. Annie Blackham was a Lehi visitor a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Nelson of Wales visited at Moroni Sunday. Miss Louise Beckstrom of Garfield is visiting relatives here. Mildred Fletcher of Salt Lake has been the guest of Gladys Draper for the past week. Theron Bennion of Salt Lake was a Moroni visitor the later part of last week. The ladies of the Red Cross Society met at the home of Miss Baker Monday Mon-day afternoon. Mrs. Elmo Irons and Reva Morley spent a few days in Salt Lake last week. mFs. Martin Bradley and children Rachael and Ruth are Salt Lake visitors. vis-itors. The Moroni orchestra gave a very ' successful dancing party at Nephi last ' Saturday night. The Misses Blanche Mikkelson and Ruby Rushe of Manti visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Nelson last week. Miss Pernella Larson entertained at a slumber party Tuesday night. Breakfast was served at six Wednesday Wednes-day morning. Mrs. Joseph Wren and her two daughters, Wanda and Beula, are visiting vis-iting at the home of Mrs. Wren's mother, Mrs. N. L. Ellason. j i ; The Misses June, Virginia and Rachel Ra-chel Sparks and Grace Whieing of Ephraim were Ivioroni visitors last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Anderson and children, Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Lover-ing, Lover-ing, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Middleton and son John, Mr. and Mrs. N. G. String-ham String-ham and son Jack, and Carl J. Nasal, motored to Nephi Canyon Sunday and spent a very pleasant outing. Very impressive and sypmathetic funeral services were held here San-day San-day for little Romona, 9-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Mor ley, who died at the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake a few days Defore. Beautiful Beau-tiful solos were rendered by Mrs. Lawrence Larson, Mrs. John Lamb and Ferry Faux. Consoling remarks were made by Bishop Orlando Bradley, Brad-ley, James Larson and Peter Peterson of Manti. All of the officers at the Sanpete county court house were present. Floral offerings were profuse. pro-fuse. The most elaborate affair of the week was the banquet given at the Moroni House last Friday for the Bankers of Sanpete county. The din-1 uer was served in courses, the sixth course consisting of sliced watermelons. watermel-ons. The tables were decorated with low crystal bowls of pansies and roses encircled with small spring flowers of contrasting colors. Covers were laid for about thirty. The sumptous repast re-past was prepared by Mrs. A. D. Jackson, Jack-son, Mrs. E. D. Anderson and Mrs. Earl Cahoon. Assisting with the serving were the Misses Mary Faux . and Ineselle Cahoon. Editor's Note Some one at Moroni Mor-oni lied to the people of the commun-! ity last week. They sent in word thati four minors had been married. We regret this betrayal of confidence. We didn't know that we had liers in North Sanpete Valley and least expected ex-pected such a falsehood to come from Moroni.
