Show WHY NOT A CliEAX-UP CLUB ? Spring will be with us again very dionly now, and the question of '(immunity beauty and sanitation will come to the fore. What, is the matter with having a "Clenn-Up" club in Mount Pleasant? Why can't we have an organi-, zation of public spirited men and women whose business it would be to encourage the cleaning up and t beautifying of the city. J Such an organization would ac-; compl-ish wonders in a short space :, of time. We haven't a citizen who' wouldn't heartily co-operate in suchj a movement; and many, once it , was under way, would go to great lengths to outdo others and carry ! off the prize. And a prize, we would suggest, should be given no't for the best place but for the one showing the :reatest improvement. Sanitation is neccessary to health, . and we can't have sanitation without cleanliness. And cleanli ness can be produced only through the systematic cooperation of the antire community. We believe such a movement would prove popular in this city. Certainly its benefits would be many ind far reaching. The Pyramid wants only one office of-fice in such a club that of eaief (coster. |
