Show INDIAN FKiHTLRS OK STATE TO HE GIYEX ALLOWANCE BY STATE HOARD EXAMINERS Governor Bamberger Tuesday returned re-turned to the Legislature the bill introduced in-troduced by Eerg of Utah county for the relief of the Indian war veterans and upon his recommendation the bill was killed by the. submission of a substitute measure. This action was taken in order to prevent the bill from being vetoed by the chief executive. ex-ecutive. For several weeks Governor Bamberger Bam-berger has taken the position that the Indian war veterans pension bill should not be passed in the form in which it was introduced in the House, as he declared the $50,000 appropriated appropri-ated by the bill would give to the veterans but small sums and that no lasting good would come from the measure. He urged that an appropriation appro-priation of $25,000 be made by the legislature and that the fund be placed under the jurisdiction of the state board of examiners to be paid out by them upon the investigation of the different cases which might come before the body '.
