Show a ' j it J& FIRST CAVALRY BAND AND CITIZENS MEET RETURNING SOLDIER BOYS AT SAL T LAKE BIG RECEPTION 1 FOR TROOPERS Much rejoicing was manifest at Mount Pleasant Tuesday noon, February Feb-ruary 27, upon receiving a telegram from Capt. S. M. Neilson at Nogales, Arizona stating that the Second Srinadron of the Utah Oa.va.lrv were entrained at that point and were on their, homeward journey. The message stated that everybody was happy and expected to arrive at Salt Lake City Friday. The Cavalry band of Mount Pleasant Pleas-ant and a large number of citizens left here Wednesday and Thursday for Salt Lake to meet the returning soldiers who have faithfully guarded the Mexican border since last August. Aug-ust. At Salt Lake City the Mount Pleasant Pleas-ant band and the battalion of high school cadets will form, on South Temple, with right resting on first west at 12 o'clock Saturday noon.' The second sr'iadron will enter the paraclc at that point and the line of march will be east on South Temple to state, thence south on State to Third South street, west on Third South to Main Street and north on Main to South Temple, where it will disband. Gov Simon Bamberger and stiff will receive members or the second squadron at the Elk's club Saturday evening. A welcome home reception has been planned for- the boys of Troop E at Mount, Pleasant when they arrive ar-rive here next Wednesday or Thursday. Thurs-day. The date is not yet definitely known. Upon the day of their arrival here there will be a parade from the depot de-pot to the Armory. Capt. Thomas Braby will act as marshall of Ihe occasion. oc-casion. The guard will form in front of the Armory and everybody will sing America, accompanied by the band. An address of welcome will be given by Mayor Daniel Rasmussen. The people and soldiers will sing The Star Spangled .Banner while the hand plays. 1'ouowing tins the thirty-two mounts will he put 'in the stable on the Coates place east of the Armory. Friday noon a banquet will be given in honor of the boys at the Armory. At 2 o'clock that day a program will be carried out with Mayor Rasmussen Ras-mussen presiding: Song, America by audience.
