Show - SPRING CITY Henry Naylor of Payson is here visiting with Miss Armina Allred. Pratt Allred, County Treasurer, t was a Spring City visitor the fore part of the week. j Miss Armina Allied, who has been employed at the hospital at Richfield, is here for a short visit with relatives. Mrs. Mary A. Reynolds of Mount Pleasant, spent the past week visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Vance Allred of Spring City. D. J. Thomas and daughter, Elizabeth, Eliza-beth, of Wales, departed for Price Tuesday. Miss Thomas expects to be' married at Price in the near future. Born, to the wife of Joseph Mer-J I rick, December 22, 1917, a fine baby j girl. Mr. and Mrs. Merrick were formerly residents oT Mount Pleas-; , ant but now of Farnum, Idaho. j I C. J. Anderson announces that he will open a garage in the old Osborne building on main street in the near future. Mr. Anderson is a good all around man and will no doubt make ; I good success in his chosen business. I Mrs. Maria J. Allred returned to her home after spending two months visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Jos-eph Merrick of Farnum, Idaho. While on her way home she also visited a few days with her sister, Mrs. James : Bailey, of Shelley, Idaho. She en-1 joyed her visit very much while in the Gem State. j The following party of young people peo-ple from the Wasatch Academy of Mount Pleasant, under the diaper-' onage of Mr. E. F. Gardenian and Miss Eva Simpson enjoyed a very pleasant sleigh-ride and an excellent social evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Johnson at Spring City: I Miss Edna Portious, Miss Merle BIu-l menthal. Miss Beatrice Bracewell, Miss Lillian Hah, Miss Bessie Carter, jfiss Dorothy Linsley, Frank Knauss, James Jordan, Bill Jones, Arville Barnes, Bar-nes, Howard Norman and Homer Lu-1 Dell. i Mrs. J. Morgan Johnson reports the following new members to the Spring City Chapter of the Red Cross this week: Mrs. Fred Si rate, Mrs. Lena Carlson, Mrs. W. E. Watson, Mrs. Elizabeth Wright, Mrs. Deseret Larsen, Mrs. ICnie:;t Justeseii. Miss Olive Mortenseii. These seven new members run the total membership member-ship up to date to one hundred thirty-five, thirty-five, which is a splendid showing for Spring City. Two donations for the Red Crops were received during the week, Mrs. Marius Christensen pave 50 cents and Mrs. Annie K. Allred 2". rents. |
