Show TWO MORE SOLDIERS RETURN HOME THIS WEEK ! , Sergeant Newton Clemensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. N. Clemensen of this city, returned home Sunday from Camp Kearny where he has been in the Ordnance Department of the U. S. Army. Sergeant Clemensen enlisted en-listed in the Utah Cavalry, soon after war was declared in the spring of 1917. The Cavalry was later changed chang-ed to Artillery. He went to Fort Douglas for training on August 4. 1 it 1 7 . where he was in training for two months, and was then sent to Camp Kearney, California, arriving there on October 13lh. lie was a member of the 14 5th Field Artillery until February 5. 1918. when he was transfered to the Ordnance Department. Depart-ment. Thomas C'hristensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Christensen of this city, returned home from Fort Strong, Boston, last Wednesday. Mr Christensen left here on March ISIh of last year and has been training most of the time with the Heavy Artillery. |
