Show ODD FELLOWS GAVE ROYAL WELCOME TO RETURNED SOLDIERS The Odd Fellows of Mount Pleasant Pleas-ant gave a royal welcome home to the soldier boys last Friday evening at the Elite Theatre and Armory Hall. A most interesting program was given. C. T. Drage was chairman' of the meeting. The Mount Pleasant Or-' chestra was present and gave two appropriate selections. J. C .Jordan gave an eloquent address of Welcome Wel-come in which he spoke of the occasion oc-casion as a family reunion. He paid high tribute to those in the service and those who had paid the supreme sacrifice. A ladies' quartet sang a number of soups and received much applause. J. H. Hornung of Manti spoke of Fraternity. Irvin Stansfield and company made a striking hit with their string band. F. H. Smith, Grand Master of the lodge, spoke of the Odd Fellows and Fraternity. J. W. Cherry also gave an eloquent address. ad-dress. The ladies' quartet and the string hand were called upon for additional ad-ditional numbers, which were highly appreciated. Following the program a dance and banquet was given. It was a grand time for all those present and one which will long be remembered. |
