Show GOVERNOR VETOES THE MOUNT PLEASANT APPROPRIATION BILL schools i CLOSED FOR mm Grades Have Discontinued Entirely; High School Will Continue Correspondence. Owing to the present outbreak of influenza it has been decided by the school authorities to discontinue school for the season. All grades including in-cluding the eighth grade will sot resume work until the next school year. The high school will ,uiuinue the regular correspondence work until the end of the school year. It is expected ex-pected that much work can be accomplished ac-complished in this manner. FAIRVIEW Bishop and Mrs. Soren J. Hansen of St. Anthony, Idaho, visited his brother, Bishp H. P. Hoansen at Fairview last week. Marion H. Mo.wer of Murray visited vis-ited relatives at Fairview the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Christensen and family moved to Garfield last week. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Brady, Randall Ran-dall Brady and Frank Brady went to Delta this week. They expect to make their home there this summer. Mrs. Vilate Sorenson .went to . Spriugville this week to nurse her daughter, Mrs. John R. Anderson, who has influenza. Milo Miner, Byron Larsen, John Lindquist, Asael Miner and Rulon Often went to Idaho this week to get employment. The social event of the week was a party given hythe Ladies' literary club who entertained their husbands and a number of friends at a dancing party in the gymnasium. Games were played and a short program given. Delicious refreshments were served to more than eighty guests. Mrs. Lawrence Larsen of Salt Lake City was a guest at the home of her mother, Mrs. Lottie Christ enson. Mrs. Leon a Tucker and children went to Idaho last week where she expects to spend the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Hjalmer Landgreen of Salt Lake City are spending the week with relatives and friends." Mr. George Ivan Sanderson and Miss Scerinda Rasmussen were married mar-ried in the Manti Temple on Wednesday. Wed-nesday. March 2fi. Mr. Sanderson Is one of our returned soldiers anil his bride ifS the postmistress. Both are among our popular young people. Thev are receiving congratulations from (heir many friends. On Sundav evening a bundle shower was given hv Miss Laura Garlic Gar-lic In honor of Miss Scerinda Has-mussen Has-mussen at the home of the former. The evening, was spent in games, music, mu-sic, and social chat. A daint' luncheon lunch-eon was served to fifteen guests. On Wednesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Amasa Rasmussen entertained In honor of the marriage of their daughter, Scerinda. to Ivan Sanderson. Sander-son. Members of the immediate families were present. 'An excellent supper was served and Hie evening spent in music and social chat. The Ladies Literary club met. at the home of Miss Klsie Sorenson March 26lh.
