Show WE XEVIOK CAN' TELL. These days the country is' indulging indulg-ing in the pleasing pastime of turning turn-ing out another grist of public officials, offi-cials, from president down to the most humble of them all. Today we see great virtues in this man, and that one, and the other, and we expect great things from them. But we 'never can tell. Sometimes they measure up to expectations, ex-pectations, and then again they do not measure at all. But making them is great sport, even though at times they bite the hand that made them. |
