Show HUB CLUB FAVORS ROAD BOND ISSUE A j In a meeting at the City Hall last Thursday evening by tne Hub Club of this city it was decided to use nil the influence possible to carry the Road Bond issue for the paving of roads in the county. The men present felt that It was ' only a very small expense as compared com-pared with the enormous expense of . traveling over bad roads. It is a . tremendous saving in the long run. Bad roads 'destroy property such as wagons, automobiles buggies and other vehicles, while good roads helps in every way. The Club hearti- Iy favored the good roads program because the expense to the man with $10,000 taxable property ''s on'.y 'about j$10. ,-per year. One( day's trip with an automobile in the mud wall cost more than $10. How about the rest of the year? Suppose you want to get a load o coal or hay in bad weather. The club feels that by persistent efforts they can get the State Road Commission to fulfill their promise and pave Main Street. They want co-operation and are going aftT it as many times as it takes to get it. |
