Show RADIO. By the use of a radio broadcasting apparatus which is being purchased by the University of Utah, the in-stixution in-stixution will send out to all parts of the State, as well as to almost all of the United Stales west of the Missl-ssJp'pi Missl-ssJp'pi river, lectures and speeches by the most prominent men of the country and of the world as they stop at the State University on their way across the continent. The broadcasting apparatus will be valued at more than $1000. It will be installed by students of advanced ad-vanced standing in the school of engineering en-gineering of the University. "We 'hope to have the station fully equipped and .ready to send out our messages by the time school starts in September, said Professor Orin Tug-man Tug-man of the engineering school who is in charge of the installation of the apparatus. iBesides the broadcasting of speeches speech-es and lectures by eminent visitors such things as athletic news, musical programs, and important State and Government messages to the people will be sent out from the University station. |
