Show S AN UNIQUE WINDOW DISPLAY .Showing Location of Stores and Buying Buy-ing Offices of the J. C. Penney Co. j One of the show windows of the, J. C. Penney Company store, contains an unique and graphic denionstra-j tion of the size and the growth of that Nation-wide organization. The window trimmer has replaced colored tacks in a lange map of the United States at the points where the company have stores. From these tacks strings of the same color run to a card on which the name of the , city or town and the number of this store is printed in bold type. There is one red tack. This denotes de-notes the "mother" or first store, ' which was opened at Kemmerer, 'Wyoming, in April, 1902, The yellow tacks indicate the 312 stores ! that were in operation at the beginning begin-ning of this year, while the blue tack 'direct attention to the 59 new stores now in course of opening. The : three white tacks locate the buying .' o-fices of the company at New York City, St. Louis, and St. Paul. . It is an exceedingly interesting dis-'play, dis-'play, well calculated to arrest the -' attention of people passing the window. win-dow.
