Pleasant. iBeginuing . in the morning they Parted the day off right by having a big pioneer parade. There were 6 1 enterijs, one of the largest an! i,ost beautiful parades ever held herj Everyone seemed lo be enthusiast L-in L-in I he celebration. During the day a splindid program was carried out. Following the parade a meeting was held in which J. L. Neilsou of Fountain Green teemed to be at his best when he addressed ad-dressed the people of Mt. Pleasant ami related pioneer happenings to them. It was a splendid meeting t hreughout. 'I he band, Mt. Pleasant's pride, was full of n.'tsic. They played the best of melodies for the citizens. In the evening on the church ground a most excellent musical program was given by the band. It was greatly appreciated by those who heard it. The citizens are proud of i the band. There was a splendid picture shiw and dance for the final ending of the celebration. There was a good program of sports, hall game and races to a Id lo the pleasure of all who were here for the celebration. |
