Show SOCIAL EVENTS A successful luncheon sale was conducted tjy. the T. R. A. girls at the High School building Thursday noon. Miss Selma Jensen entertained the O. S. A. club Wednesday afternoon. The afternoon was spent in needle work after which the hostess served luncheon to fifteen guests. i Mrs. E. C. Johnson entertained at luncheon informally Tuesday afternoon after-noon for Mrs. Ray Stryigham of Man ti, Mrs. C. T. Drage, Mrs. Fred Stans-field, Stans-field, Mrs. Ross McArthur and Mrs. Savona Norman of Fairv.iew. A delicious dinner was served at the High School building to the members mem-bers of the North Sanpete School Board, by Miss Vera Merril, assisted b Rhoda Jorgensen and Delia Seely, Wednesday noon. Covers were laid for seven. Mrs. H. C. Beaumann entertained the W. C. T. U. and moters Department Depart-ment at her home Friday afternoon. "The World Prohibition Movement," and "Home Training of Boys," and articles contributed by Mrs. J. W. Mc-Gann, Mc-Gann, Mrs. Ernest Draper, Mrs. W. W. McKirahan, Mrs. Marie Anderson and Mrs. O. F. Wall. The hostess served luncheon to -twelve guests. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Sorensen were hosts at an elaborate five course dinner din-ner Saturday evening. Covers were laid for President C. N. Lund, Mr. .and Mrs. Newell K. Young, Mr. and Mrs. J, W. Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Stew-art, Mr. and Mrs. William Olson, Miss Annie Johansen, Miss Ruby Ru-by Sorensen, Seymour Jensen and Mi. and Mrs. Sorensen. A delightful evening was spent in singing music and impromptu speeches. An elaborate dinner party was given Friday evening by Mr. and Mrs. Peter Y. Jensen in honor of Mr. Jensen's birthday anniversary. Covers Cov-ers were laid for Messrs and Mes-dames Mes-dames C. W. Sorensen, Nephi Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, E. Y. Neilson, Joseph Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, G. F. Bohne, Charles Swen-sen, Swen-sen, Mrs. Elmer Clayton, Mrs. Sena Jensen, Mrs. James Cummings of Salt Lake, Mrs. Elmeria Jensen, Miss Ella Larsen, Boone Carson, Leonard Sorensen, Peter , Sorensen, Merlin Christensen, Stella Florence and Ver-da Ver-da Jensen and the hosts. Mrs. J. D. Meyrick, Mrs. G. W. Brand and Mrs. J. Morgan Johnson entertained Monday afternoon at the Meyrick home -with a reception for j the ladies of the local Eastern Star Chapter, in honor of Mrs. Minnie Haslet Has-let of Ogden, Worthy Grand Matron j of the Eastern Star of Utah. About ; twenty members of the order were j present. In the evening a banquet j was givn in Masonic Hall following ' a business session, at which Mrs. Haslet was also the complimented ! guest. In a very appropriate pre- sentation speech, Mrs. A. Crane, on i bebalf of the Chapter, presented Mrs. Haslet with a beautiful piece of cut glass. The banquet wa s served by Mesdames- Morgan Winters, E. W. Wall, Edwin Johnston, R. Anderson, S. E. Jensen, I. E. Jorgensen and Miss j Ethel McCormick.
