I The Leap year party given at the J Eclipse pavilion Saturday evening iwas a success. The young folks enjoying en-joying the change, j Hugh Brady who spent the past i month at Fairview returned to his home at Buhl, Idaho, this week. Erastus Rasmussen who has been to the reservation the past two , months returned home this week. Harvey Miner went to Nevada Wednesday where he has employment. employ-ment. About twenty-five horses were sold i Wednesday from this city and near-' near-' by neighborhood making a neat lit-j lit-j tie sum of money to be circulated here. i Our City Fathers have already be-jgun be-jgun active work. One more day be-' be-' ing added to the electric service mak-j mak-j ing three days of electric service each 1 week. Will the people of Fairview stand by their leaders and put in the much needed waterworks or will some enjoy en-joy all the luxuries? Is the question now confronting us. i Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pederson entertained en-tertained a number of their friends Sunday evening in honor of Mr. Pe- derson's thiryt-eighth birthday. Pro-; Pro-; gressive High Five was played and ; delicious refreshments were served. A. surprise party was given Tues-day Tues-day evening in honor of Kimball ! Mower by about thirty-five of his friends. Five Hundred was played and supper served at ten-thirty. Mu-1 Mu-1 sic and other games were played, all enjoying a fine time. Gunner Peterson of Indianola died at the home of Mrs. Steiia Olsen Monday. Mon-day. Mr. Peterson has been ill the past two months. Funeral services will be held Friday at Fairview. Mrs. Amanda Stewart fell and j broke her leg last week. She is very old and is reported to be ser-; ser-; iously ill. The accident happened at her own home while going about her ' daily work, t A social w ave seems to have struck Fairview as there have been parties nearly every day the past week. Mrs. Ilyrum Anderson entertained about fifteen of her friends Saturday Satur-day evening. Games and luncheon being the order of tho party after which most of the guests attended the Leap year dance. Miss Fern Christenson entertained about twenty of her friends Sunday evening. A pleasant social evening was spent. Games, music and luncheon lunch-eon being the order. A surprise party was given at the home of W. E. Bench, Jan. 13, In honor of his birthday. Dinner and supper were served and a social afternoon after-noon spent. About twenty of his relatives rel-atives and friends were present. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Cox entertained on Friday evening at their home. The eening was spent in merry games and an excellent luncheon served to the following: Misses Fern Christenson, Minerva Peterson, Mamie Ma-mie Madsen, Flossie Anderson, Row-ena Row-ena Day and Mrs. Hyrum Anderson; Messrs. Tone Orten, Victor Howell, Wendell Peacock, Hugh Brady, Clifton Clif-ton Anderson and Newell Cox. Miss Ruby Graham and Miss Elva Sorenson entertained at the home of the former Sunday evening. A five course supper was served and the evening spent in games, singing and other music. Those present were the Misses Elva Madsen, Leona Nordstrom, Nord-strom, Laurel Miner, Irene Cruser. Thelma Larsen, Anabell Pritchett, Elva Sorenson, Velora Allred and Messrs. Aldon Peterson, Douglas Sanderson, San-derson, Ernest Terry. Clifton Graham, Gra-ham, Harold Cox, Harold Cheney and Reese Bench. Mr. and Mrs. Swell O. Nielson entertained en-tertained at their home Saturday evening ev-ening at a card party. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Harry Rasmussen and Howard Rigby. Mayor John L. Bench and Mrs. N. P. Christenson receiving re-ceiving the "boobie" prizes. A four course luncheon was served which was intersperced with toasts, speeches and music. The following were present: Messrs. and Mesdames John L. Bench, A. C. Miner, John Christenson. N. P.
