Show niStfioo! furnished by North Sanpete High School Students. i j The new system of discipline in j our halls managed by the student 1 body has proved very successful so far. We take greater pride in obeying obey-ing rules which we have made for , ourselves, although they be more j rigid than those made by the faculty. A responsibility is placed on every student to see the laws are obeyed, and obeying them gives us good practice in self control. Responsi-blities Responsi-blities make a person more thoughtful thought-ful 'and conservative in what he does and will help to develope in him a higher standard of morals. Thus we believe that this move will not only relieve the teachers of a burden but ill greatly benefit us also. Athletic Notes The athletics are commencing to get in trim for the comming season and a very good basket ball team is expected. The main team has not yet been picked but the coach will soon have them spotted. A nomber of the bovs are working hard to make a place in the team. j The Wasatch Academy wanted us to play them a game of foot ball but , if we have not done anything in that line we coutd not Accomodate them but we can give them all they want in Basket Ball. .-Our Physicial culture class, tl-thuugh tl-thuugh not boosted much b anyone any-one outside of class members, is far from being behind in its work. You should see the way the girls are dancing fancy dances, throwing their Indian clubs and Dumb Bells. We must ;il rckn-wledge that they are on their u av to success. One of tlv-1 -test 'oiiic-; t'at has bei-n discusfe 1 in our school is, a uniform dre s for the girl.s. In several sev-eral High Schools of our Sta'e a plan has been adopted by the girls to wear uniform dresses, thus reducing re-ducing the cost of school clothing. Many of the girls come to school dressed beyond our means, trying to dress better than our class mates; not considering that we are making some of the girls feel embarrassed who cannot afford to dress as well as others; also many of the them wear low neck dresses made of thin material not considering' how unappropriated un-appropriated such a costume is, This subject has been debated many times by schools and those who have adopted such a rule have been very successful and pleased with it. We think it would be a good thing fur this to be futher discussed in our school, and if possible to adopt a plan for all the girls to wear uniform un-iform dress, There would be no classifaction, such as now exists be- tween the students. We would t more united and enthusiastic in our school work if such a plan were adapted and best of all we would be recognized and distinguished as High School girls. "Girl3," Let rs think carefully about it. ' Last Tuesday Miss Ryan went to Fairview to spend the evening with Miss Mammie Madsen. i Mr. Jensen now has those venomous ven-omous reptiles pickled which has taken a great strain from Miss Havenor's mind. She volunteered to furnish the vinegar. Don't think ill of the H. S. boys because they run around town in their "Gym" suites. They are only-training only-training for higher marks and are eo n'ra; aUn.f ni-elv. The physicial culture p'rls wit need a doctor, and the Arm ry fl-f a carpenter if they continue to was. the floor.
