Show Aged Pioneer Is Called By Death Lars Peter Fredriokseu died Thursday Thurs-day morning at his home in lliis city j of general debility after a long seige I j of illness. ! I Mr. Fredricksen was born March ! j 13, 1840 at Tjorneniark, Denmark. ! He became a member of the L. D. S. ' j Church in his youth and left Europe j in the fall of 1854.- He came to America and lived in Missouri for .about two years. In 1856 he left Florence with an ox team in Capl.' Hunt's company and departed west across the plains to Utah, where they I arrived in the month of December of the same year. In 1859 he came to Mt. Pleasant and has resided here since that time. He leaves a widow and seven children, six daughters and one son. They are Mrs. Win. Zabriskie, Peter Fredricksen, Mrs. John Rosenlof. Mrs. Ferd Hansen. Mrs Chris Thompson, Thomp-son, Hanah and Mary Fredricksen. Funeral services will be held at the North Ward Chapel today at 2 o'clock p. m. Mr. Fredricksen was one of1 the early pioneers of this city who was highly respected by all who knew him, and one who had many friends who were dear to him. |
