Mr. and Mrs. Urban Hartly and Lorna Mower visited friends and relatives rel-atives in Springville last week. Miss Chrystal Petcrsou, Miss Laura Garlic, and Linden Peterson went lo Ephraim this week to attend the Snow Academy. Miss Verda Cheney went to 1'rovo lo attend the B. Y. IT. Mr. and Mrs. Aiihur Holme who have bpeu living at Garfield for the past few years have moved to Fair-view. Fair-view. Mrs. Swen O. Neilson is spending a week visiting in Salt Lake City. Miss Sophrouia Olsen is a Salt Lake City visitor. The Ladies Literary Club met al the home of Mrs. Dave Carlston Sep tember 8tb. A paper on "The Care and Feeding of Babies" was given by Mrs. Jess Turpin. Current events by Mrs. Vern Sanderson. Nine ladies enjoyed the social hour and dainty refreshments served. The ladies' la-dies' club will send a display of needle need-le work to the county fair. Miss Vclora Allrcd went (o Sail Lake City Wednesday to spend the winter. Miss Ethel Allrcd returned home last week after spending a few weeks in Salt Lake City. Miss Darcus Allred came from Salt Lake City last week to visit witli friends and relatives. A party was given at the home of Miss Chrystal rcleryon Tuesday evening, ev-ening, September 7th. The evening was spent in games and music, a mid night luncheon served and cider was served from a miniature well. The rooms were decorated in fruits ami flowers. Those who enjoyed the evening ev-ening were Lauja Garlic, Vera Sanders, San-ders, Lucile Brady, Maud Stewart, Ruby Peterson, Bertha Howell, Oris Stevans, Eva Farnsworth, Chrystal Peterson and the Messers Jess Young, Clcon Anderson, Jack Stewart, Lew Rigby, Edward Peterson, Albert Clement, Arthur Peterson, Gasten Garlic and Ulysses Larscn. |
